Birthday Present

MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO YOU ✍✍
 For two decades and three years that I have come to vegetate on this planet,I have come to substantiate that your immediate environment and calibers of friends you move with will ascertain how far your boat will sail on the sea of life. And I also realized that no one is responsible for your fiasco or your triumph, they can only give a helping hand but you yourself is the fulcrum of being successful or the other that takes you under the weather.

 This may not really present the image I'm viewing at the corner of my thought, so I'll shed more light by using myself as a case study.

 Exactly on the 24th day of July,2013, I fully left secondary school and all I was anticipating was the university education which comes immediately after secondary education. I thought the opportunity would just flow in just the way food flows into the mouth of an infant without knowing the input effort by his mother. But all wasn't, it was never the case of beautiful roses falling on the road side and I realized that after Elvis had left the building.

I was stranded for few years and I couldn't proceed, not until 2017 that I eventually gained admission into university, do you know what affected me? The caliber of friends I moved with. I see them around me everytime and they never told me what was happening was abnormality. This might not be your own case but might be close to that, either in the past or present.

But guess what, immediately I changed the caucus of friends I move with,I started seeing the front that was foggy initially. In no time I gained admission but it was really a bit late, imagine 2013 secondary school graduate gaining admission into university in year 2017, it's nothing to think about but a disaster.

 Watch yourself dutifully and absorb the kind of friends that would affect your life positively. It tells a lot on how you'll grow in time.

 If you cogitate and say *Fisayomie_Da_Poet* is unique and has edge over his surrounding, trust me, that's the effect of my immediate environment. _What is your immediate environment?_ These are people that you live to see every here and there and we call them immediate family, these are people that actually transmute me and force me to start seeing miles ahead.

Come to think of it, is that the type of your own immediate environment? If not, take to heel even if they're your biological environment and run to where you'll be saved.

Age is not on my side, age is not on your side, please never engage in what would add no value to you.

And lastly, read and digest this light poem

 check the road that leads to your house
 and see if your heart won't pounce
 check the way you're walking up
 and see if you're worthy to look up

 can you afford to fuck up?
 can you afford to lock up?
 if not, take to your heel
 and start climbing the hill.
